GET RID OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
Do you know that having the wrong attitude can hinder your success? That negative attitude that you “can’t do this” or you are “not smart enough” will put the breaks on your success.
- Stop listening to the negative thoughts and the negative people around you. They are dream stealers and goal stoppers. You need postive thoughts and listen to positive people to help you become more self confident and motivated to work towards your success. Find what or who motivates you and add it to your daily routine to work on having a positive attitude. That could be listening to podcasts, reading books by inspirational figures or spending time in prayer (or do all 3).
- Watch your words. What we say is what is in our hearts and is based on what we believe about ourselves. The more you say “I can’t” then you are already limiting yourself and how far you can go. Instead you can find a way to turn the “I can’t” phrase into a “I will” phrase. Like “I can’t do this because I don’t have enough time.” to “I will find the time to do it and get it done by the end of the week.”
- Who are in your inner circle? Are they negative too? You attract who you are. So if you want to be postive then start finding the positive people in your life and be with them more than the negative people in your life. Having them around can help you learn to think and be more positive. On my team’s Facebook page we do not allow negativity or “whining” because all it does is draw in negative energy. Having postive comments and celebrations for everything is motivational to all and helps everyone move forward in thier endeavors.
- Take a walk. Exercise is one of the best ways to move towards a more positive and motivated frame of mind. Regular exercise has been shown to boost self-esteem, reduce stress, ward of anxiety and signs of depression, and help improve sleep. It also provides quick positive feedback with weight loss, muscle developement and doing something that is postive for yourself.
Using these strategies you can start turning your negative attitudes around and start breaking down those brick walls that are blocking your path to success.
